Michael's Favorite Oxtails with Buttered Rice

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
  2. Trim fat from oxtails.
  3. In a broiling pan, toss oxtails with House Seasoning and soy sauce.
  4. Top with onions and bay leaves.
  5. Add water to fill pan 1/4 of the way to the top.
  6. Cover pan with foil and bake until oxtails are tender, about 2 1/2 to 4 hours.
  7. Remove foil cover from meat and brown in oven for an additional 5 to 8 minutes.
  8. Prepare rice according to package directions, adding butter and salt, to taste.
  9. Serve rice alongside ox tails.
  10. 1 cup salt
  11. 1/4 cup black pepper
  12. 1/4 cup garlic powder
  13. Mix ingredients together and store in an airtight container for up to 6 months.
  14. Yield: 1 1/2 cups
