Pumpkin Bread
- 2 1/2 c. all-purpose flour
- 2 tsp. baking powder
- 1 1/2 tsp. salt
- 2 tsp. cinnamon
- 1 tsp. nutmeg
- 4 eggs
- 1 c. vegetable oil
- 3 c. sugar
- 2/3 c. water
- 2 c. canned pumpkin
- 2 c. chopped nuts
- 1 c. raisins
- 1/2 c. shortening
- 1 c. sugar
- 3 tsp. baking powder
- 1 c. mashed ripe bananas
- 1 tsp. lemon juice
- 2 c. sifted flour
- 2 eggs
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1 c. nuts
- Cream shortening and sugar.
- Beat eggs until light and add. Press bananas and add lemon juice.
- Blend with creamed mixture. Sift flour, baking powder and salt together, then combine.
- Add nuts.
- Bake in greased 1 pound loaf pan.
- Bake at 375u0b0
- for 1 hour to 1 hour and 15 minutes.
