Baked Brisket Of Beef Recipe

  1. Season the brisket well with salt, pepper, warm sauce and wine vinegar.
  2. Slit to make a pocket on one side.
  3. Stuff with onions, bell pepper and garlic inside the pocket.
  4. Secure with toothpicks.
  5. Set aside and allow to remain in refrigerator overnight.
  6. Heat the charcoals in bar-b-que pit till they are real warm.
  7. Set brisket on rack and brown real well on both sides, 10 min per side.
  8. Put in pan sprayed with PAM.
  9. Pour steak sauce over brisket and sprinkle sliced mushrooms over sauce.
  10. Cover with foil.
  11. Bake at 200 degrees for 4-5 hrs.
  12. Slice and pour gravy over meat before serving.
  13. Serves 6-8.
