Silky Creamy Rutabaga
- 1 large or 2 medium rutabagas, peeled cut into 1 inche chunks, boiled in chicken broth and 1 tablespoon butter until very tender Save a few tablespoons broth to thin final dish if needed
- 1/4 cup garlic and herb cream cheese
- 1/4 cup sour cream
- 1/2 tsp salt and pepper
- 1 dash hot sauce, such as franks brand
- 1 tsp lemon juice
- 2 tbsp grated parmesan cheese
- Combine hot cooked rutabaga with all ingredients in a blender ( the blender is a must for the silky texture ) Blend until smooth.
- Add reserved chicken broth if needed for a soft mash.
- Serve hot, it can be made ahead and heated in the microwave.Serve with butter if you like.
