Pot Roast Pork With Apples Recipe

  1. Heat 2 Tbsp.
  2. butter in a flameproof casserole.
  3. Roll pork roast in a mix of salt, pepper, and half the cinnamon, then brown on all sides.
  4. Cover casserole and cook in the oven for about 1 hour, turning roast over halfway through.
  5. Peel and core apples and cut into quarters.
  6. Put into a saucepan with remaining butter and cinnamon.
  7. Cover and cook for about 10 min over a low heat, shaking the pan to prevent sticking.
  8. Arrange the apples around the roast and cook, uncovered, for a further 15 min.
  9. Remove pork from casserole; slice and place on warmed serving plate.
  10. Surround with apples.
  11. Make gravy from cooking juices and serve separately.
  12. Serves 4-6.
