Famous Chocolate Chip Cookies

• 2 c. butter
• 2 c. granulated sugar
• 2 c. brown sugar, packed
• 4 eggs
• 2 tsp. vanilla
• 5 c. oatmeal
• 4 c. flour
• 1 tsp. salt
• 2 tsp. baking soda
• 2 tsp. baking powder
• 24 oz. bag chocolate chips
• 7 oz. chocolate bar

1. Cream together butter and sugars.
2. Add eggs and vanilla. Measure 5 cups oatmeal and put small amounts in blender or food processor to form a powder.
3. Add oatmeal powder, flour, baking soda, salt and baking powder to sugar mixture.
4. Stir well.
5. Grate the candy bar and add in with chocolate chips.
6. Shape dough into small balls and place 2 inches apart on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake at 375u0b0 for 8 to 10 minutes.
7. Makes 10 dozen. Great for large gatherings!
