Persian Style Lamb With Almonds Recipe
- 1 tbsp. salad oil
- 1/2 c. slivered almonds
- 1 pound ground lamb
- 1 1/2 c. minced onions
- 1 beef flavor bouillon cube
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic salt
- 1/4 teaspoon pepper
- 1 tbsp. lime or possibly lemon juice
- 1 teaspoon dry mint
- Spinach leaves
- 1 med. tomato, cut into wedges
- In a 10 inch skillet over medium heat, in warm salad oil, cook slivered almonds, stirring, until golden.
- Remove almonds to plate.
- Over medium to high heat, in oil remaining in skillet, cook ground lamb, onion, bouillon cub, salt, garlic salt and pepper, stirring, until meat is browned, about 10 min.
- Add in almonds, lime juice and mint.
- Stir to blend well.
- Line platter with spinach leaves; spoon meat mix onto spinach leaves and garnish with tomato wedges.
