Paige's Made up Mild Chili
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 lb hot sausage
- 46 ounces vegetable juice
- 8 ounces chili seasoning mix (more or less to taste)
- 8 ounces beefy onion soup mix (more or less to taste)
- 40 ounces chili beans, mix
- 1 (15 1/2 ounce) can dark red kidney beans (optional)
- 1 (15 1/2 ounce) can pinto beans (optional)
- 1 large onion (or more if prefered)
- 1 green pepper
- 1 yellow pepper
- garlic clove
- salt and pepper
- Brown the beef and sausage.
- Combine vegetable juice, chili seasoning, beefy onion soup mix, and all beans into large pot.
- Chop up onion, garlic, and peppers.
- Optional- add some of the onion and garlic to the meat while it is browning.
- When meat is done, add it to the pot
- Add onion, peppers, and garlic to the pot.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Bring pot to a boil.
- Simmer for about a half hour, depending how soft you like your vegetables.
- Let cool and ENJOY!
- Sprinkle some shredded cheese over it, too :).
