Jalepeno-Monterey Jack Burger
- - extra-lean ground beef
- 4 each eggs
- 1 cup seasoned dry bread crumbs
- 1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped
- 2 tsp. garlic powder
- 1 tsp. onion powder
- 16 each hamburger buns
- 1 cup Kraft Mayo Calorie-Wise Real Mayonnaise
- 1 qt. iceberg lettuce, shredded
- 4 each tomatoes, each cut into 4 slices Safeway 1 lb For $1.29 thru 02/09
- 16 each Kraft Jalapeno Monterey Jack Slices
- 16 each frozen breaded onion rings, baked
- Mix meat, eggs, bread crumbs, parsley and seasonings until well blended.
- Shape into 16 (4-oz./115-g) patties (or into 4 patties for trial recipe), each about 4 inches in diameter.
- Refrigerate 20 min.
- Cook patties in skillet on medium heat 4 to 6 min.
- on each side or until done (160 degrees F).
- For each serving: Spread cut sides of 1 bun with 1 Tbsp.
- (15 mL) mayonnaise.
- Fill with 1 burger, 1/4 cup (60 mL) lettuce and 1 each tomato slice, cheese slice and onion ring.
