Sweet Apple and Onion Stuffed Pork Chops
- 1 whole Medium Onion, Diced
- 1 whole Medium Apple, Diced
- 2 Tablespoons Butter, Melted
- 1 cup Bread Crumbs
- 1/4 cups Shredded Sharp White Shredded Cheese
- 6 whole Boneless Pork Tenderloin Chops (1 1/2-2 Inches Thick)
- 1 teaspoon Salt, Or To Taste
- 1 teaspoon Pepper Or To Taste
- Heat a medium skillet over medium-high heat.
- Spray with nonstick cooking spray.
- Add the diced onion and saute until tender, about 5 minutes.
- Add the diced apple and saute until tender, about 3 minutes.
- Then remove from heat and set aside for the moment.
- In a medium sized mixing bowl, melt the butter (you can do this in the microwave, heating for 30 seconds, stirring, then heating for additional 30 second increments if needed).
- Then add the bread crumbs to the melted butter and toss to coat.
- Into the bread crumb mixture, mix in the onion and apple.
- Add the shredded cheese and mix to thoroughly combine.
- Slice the pork chops lengthwise leaving about 1/2 an inch on one side still intact (you are basically making a pocket for the filling mixture).
- Stuff pork chops with bread crumb mixture.
- Secure the pork chops closed using toothpicks.
- Spray each side of the pork chops with nonstick cooking spray and season with salt and pepper.
- Grill the pork chops (or cook on a skillet) over medium to medium high heat until the juices run clear, about 20-25 minutes.
- Remove from the grill and let rest about 5 minutes.
- Remove toothpicks.
- Serve and enjoy!
