Microwave Teriyaki Chicken Recipe
- 1/2 c. brown sugar, packed
- 1/2 c. soy sauce
- 1/2 c. sherry
- 1 teaspoon grnd ginger
- 1/4 teaspoon garlic pwdr
- 2 1/2 to 3 pound broiler-fryer chicken, cut up
- Mix all ingredients except chicken in medium bowl.
- Microwave at HIGH (100%) till sugar dissolves, 1 to 1 1/2 min.
- Place chicken in square baking dish, 8 x 8 inches or possibly plastic bag.
- Pour marinade over chicken.
- Cover chicken only with plastic wrap or possibly tightly closed bag.
- Chill 8 hrs or possibly overnight (the longer the better), turning chicken over occasionally.
- Drain chicken; place in 10-inch square casserole.
- Cover with waxed paper.
- Microwave at MEDIUM - HIGH (70%) till chicken next to bone is not pink, 21 to 24 min, rearranging pcs after half the cooking time.
- Makes 4 servings.
