Happy Trails Granola

  1. Preheat the oven to 325 degrees F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a small pot over medium heat, whisk together the syrup, oil and cinnamon.
  3. Cook until it just bubbles.
  4. Remove from the heat and cool slightly.
  5. In a large bowl, add the oats, walnuts, sunflower seeds, brown sugar and a pinch of salt.
  6. Pour in the syrup mixture and toss well.
  7. In a small bowl, whisk the egg whites to combine.
  8. Pour over the granola and toss well.
  9. Evenly spread the mixture onto a sheet tray.
  10. Bake until golden, turning several times, about 35 to 40 minutes.
  11. Remove from the oven to a serving bowl and cool.
  12. When cool add the remaining ingredients and serve.
