Crab Meat Sycamore(Serves 8)
- 2 lb. (4 c.) white lump crab meat
- 3/4 lb. diced Swiss cheese
- 2 pkg. frozen artichoke hearts, cooked and drained
- 3 Tbsp. butter
- 2 Tbsp. flour
- 1 1/4 c. milk
- 2 Tbsp. dry sherry
- hot sauce
- Worcestershire sauce
- salt and pepper to taste
- bread crumbs
- Alternate layers of crab, cheese and artichokes in a greased 1 1/2-quart casserole.
- Make a cream sauce by melting butter.
- Add the flour, stirring until smooth.
- Add milk a little at a time, cooking until thick.
- Remove from heat.
- Add sherry, hot sauce, Worcestershire, salt and pepper to taste.
- Spoon cream
- sauce over top of casserole and sprinkle with bread crumbs.
- Bake, uncovered, at 325u0b0 for 30 to 40 minutes or until bubbly.
