Caramel Pecan French Toast

  1. Combine the butter, caramel sauce, and vanilla.
  2. Pour into a 13 x 9-inch baking dish.
  3. Place the bread, in a single layer, over the syrup mixture.
  4. Whisk together the eggs, milk, salt, and pepper, and pour over the bread.
  5. Sprinkle the pecans on top.
  6. Cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate overnight.
  7. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  8. Uncover the dish, and bake for 1 hour.
