Sonia's Ragu Sauce
- 1 lb Ground beef
- 1/2 packages Bacon chopped pkg was 12oz just used half
- 1 clove fresh garlic chopped
- 1 onion chopped
- 1 stick celery chopped
- 1 carrot chopped
- 1 can diced tomatoes 20oz
- 2 tomato sauce 8oz
- 1 dash salt
- 1 dash black pepper
- 1/2 tsp oregano
- 1/2 cilantro
- 1/4 tsp cumin
- 2 tsp tomato boulion
- 2 Bay leafs
- 1 pasta any kind cook al dente
- 1 serve with veggies or green salad
- I fry bacon in pan in low heat when golden brown set aside
- use the grease from bacon to fry ground beef until golden brown
- drain excess grease saute carrots celery onion and garlic
- add diced tomato and sauce too
- add spices and let cook in a low heat for 2 hrs
- I use pasta rigatoni you can use any kind you like
- as side dish you can use veggies or green salad
- I add crused red peppers and cheese on top of sauce delicious;-)
