Cornbread

  1. Grease an oven-proof skillet (frying pan) and get it hot on the top of the stove.
  2. Preheat oven to 425.
  3. Cream lard, sugar, egg, salt.
  4. Mix corn meal, flour, baking powder.
  5. Add dry mix and milk alternately to creamed mix.
  6. Pour batter in skillet.
  7. Bake in oven for 25 to 30 minutes.
