Gingerbread House Starter

  1. Pour melted Crisco into mixing bowl.
  2. Cool slightly; add sugar and Karo, blending well.
  3. Add eggs, mixing all until smooth and creamy.
  4. Put salt, baking soda and spices into mixture and begin to add flour, just a little at a time.
  5. DON'T HURRY THIS STEP!
  6. Continue adding as much flour as the dough will absorb.
  7. Bake house pieces at 375F (190C).
  8. for 5 to 8 minutes.
