Wild Rice Casserole
- 1 1/2 c. boiling water
- 1 (4.4 oz.) pkg. wild rice and herbs
- 1 (10 3/4 oz.) can chicken with rice soup
- 1 small can mushrooms with liquid
- 1/2 c. water
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 bay leaf
- 1/4 tsp. each: celery salt, garlic powder, pepper, onion salt and paprika
- 3 Tbsp. onion, chopped
- 3 Tbsp. vegetable oil
- 3/4 lb. ground beef
- Pour boiling water over rice and herbs.
- Simmer, covered, for 15 minutes.
- Place rice in a 2-quart casserole dish.
- Add soup, mushrooms and liquid, water and seasonings.
- Mix and set aside. Saute onion in oil until transparent.
- Add to casserole.
- Brown meat and add to rice mixture.
- Chill.
- When ready to bake, cover and bake at 325u0b0 for 30 to 45 minutes.
