Empire Biscuits

  1. preheat oven to 350c
  2. in a large bowl cream together the butter and white sugar until smooth.
  3. gradually stir in the flour until well blended.
  4. on a lught floured surface roll the dough on to 1/4 inch thick
  5. cut into rounds.
  6. bake for 8-10 min until light golden
  7. Allow cookies to cool on baking sheet for 5min
  8. Mix the milk and the confectioners sugar for the icing.
  9. Reserve.Spread the jam on the biscuits and make a sandwich.
  10. After that spread the icing on the top of the sandwiches.
  11. place the cherries semi dry in the middle
