Quick Apple Pie Bread
- 1 (21 ounce) can apple filling
- 1 cup butter, at room temperature
- 1/2 cup white sugar
- 1/2 cup (packed) dark brown sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 3/4 cup raisins
- 3/4 cup chopped walnuts
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
- Lightly grease a 9x5 loaf pan.
- In a medium bowl, use a potato masher to break up apples in the filling; set aside.
- In a large mixing bowl, cream together butter, white sugar, and brown sugar.
- Stir in eggs, apples, and vanilla extract until well blended.
- Sift together flour, baking soda, cinnamon, and salt.
- Stir into apple mixture, then stir in raisins and walnuts.
- Pour batter into prepared pan.
- Bake in preheated oven for 60 minute, until a toothpick inserted into center of the loaf comes out clean.
- Let bread cool in pan for 15 minutes, then turn out onto a wire rack to cool completely.
