Montevideo Lamb Chops

  1. Melt butter; add lamb chops and cook over medium heat until browned on both sides.
  2. Remove lamb; reserve drippings.
  3. Add horseradish; mix with drippings in skillet.
  4. Arrange lamb in greased shallow casserole.
  5. Combine sugar, coffee, and egg yolks; mix well.
  6. Cook over boiling water (or use a double-boiler), stirring constantly, until thickened.
  7. Combine coffee sauce and horseradish mixture in skillet; mix well.
  8. Pour coffee mixture over lamb.
  9. Top with Parmesan cheese.
  10. Bake in oven at 350 degrees for 30 minutes.
