Deep Dish Double Chocolate Brownies

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees and also line 13 x 9 baking dish with parchment paper or grease with Crisco.
  2. cream room temperature butter and sugar together until well blended.
  3. Add Vanilla and eggs two at a time and mix until well blended.
  4. Sift together all dry ingredients (except chocolate chips) and add to wet mixture about 3/4 cup at a time.
  5. Hand mix chocolate chips and pour into prepared baking dish.
  6. If you are using a glass or light colored baking dish bake at 350 for 40-45 minutes.
  7. If you are using a darker colored dish drop the temperature down to 325 and bake for 50-55 minutes.
  8. Test the middle with a tooth pick.
  9. Brownies are done when the batter pulls away from the sides and toothpick comes out clean.
