Sauce Salade (Salad dressing)
- 1 tablespoon imported mustard
- 1 egg yolk
- 1/2 teaspoon finely minced garlic
- 1 tablespoon red wine vinegar
- 2 tablespoons dry white vermouth
- Dash of Tabasco sauce
- 13 cup peanut, vegetable or corn oil
- Salt to taste, if desired
- Freshly ground pepper to taste
- Put mustard, egg yolk and garlic into mixing bowl.
- Using wire whisk, start beating mixture.
- Beat in vinegar, vermouth and Tabasco.
- Gradually add oil, beating vigorously.
- Add salt and pepper.
