Pasta Sauce

  1. Chop onion, garlic and pepper into small pieces.
  2. Add olive oil into large saucepan (medium heat).
  3. Lightly brown the onion, garlic and pepper in the olive oil.
  4. Add canned tomatoes, tomato paste and water.
  5. Heat on medium until paste is combined with tomatoes and water.
  6. Add remaining ingredients.
  7. Reduce heat to low.
  8. Let simmer lightly for six hours.
  9. If adding meatballs, do so after 2 hours.
