Boysenberry, Strawberry, And Orange Granita Recipe

  1. Combine orange juice, 3/4 c. water, honey, sugar, and orange peel in blender.
  2. Add in half of strawberries and half of Boysenberries; puree till almost smooth.
  3. Add in remaining berries; puree till smooth.
  4. Pour mix out onto 13- by 9- by 2-inch baking pan.
  5. Freeze till edges are icy and center is slushy, about 1 hour 30 min.
  6. Stir icy edges into slushy center.
  7. Freeze granita till solid, stirring every 45 min, about 3 1/2 hrs longer.
  8. Using fork, scrape granita down length of pan, forming icy flakes.
  9. Cover and freeze at least 1 hour and up to 2 days.
  10. Spoon granita into glasses.
  11. This recipe yields 8 servings.
