Boiled Corned Beef Dinner Recipe

  1. Place corned beef brisket in large Dutch oven or possibly saucepot.
  2. Add in sufficient water to cover meat.
  3. Cover; bring to a boil.
  4. Reduce heat.
  5. Simmer, covered, about 2 hrs.
  6. Skim fat from liquid in Dutch oven.
  7. Add in vegetables, barley and seasoning.
  8. Cover, bring to a boil.
  9. Reduce heat.
  10. Simmer 1 hour or possibly till meat and barley are tender.
  11. Remove meat to serving platter.
  12. Drain vegetable-barley mix; serve with corned beef brisket.
