Sloppy Joes (Vegetarian)
- 1 large onions diced
- 2 medium green bell peppers diced, or celery
- 3 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 1/2 cup water boiling
- 1/2 cup tomato sauce
- 2 tablespoons chili powder
- 1 pinch black pepper
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce, tamari
- 1 tablespoon prepared mustard
- 1 tablespoon sugar
- 1/2 cup TVP (Texturized Vegetable Protein)
- Saute onion and green peppers in oil.
- Add remaining ingredients, and simmer together for 20 minutes and serve hot on soft sandwich buns.
