Cedar-Planked Maple-Glazed Salmon

  1. Immerse plank in water, placing weight on top of plank to keep it submerged.
  2. Soak 4 hours.
  3. Heat barbecue to medium heat.
  4. Place plank on grate of barbecue; close lid.
  5. Heat plank 5 min.
  6. or until it starts to crackle and smoke.
  7. Brush with oil.
  8. Mix dressing and syrup; pour over salmon in shallow dish.
  9. Turn salmon over to evenly coat both sides.
  10. Remove salmon from dressing mixture; discard dressing mixture.
  11. Place salmon on plank; top with onions.
  12. Cover barbecue with lid.
  13. Grill 20 min.
  14. or until salmon flakes easily with fork.
  15. Cut into 8 pieces to serve.
