Cuban Sandwich Casserole

  1. One day ahead place 8 slices of bread (remove crust with electric knife) in bottom of a casserole with 4 slices of cheese, ham, pork, and the other 4 slices of cheese on top.
  2. Add sliced pickles.
  3. Top with remaining 8 slices bread.
  4. Beat eggs, milk, salt, pepper, and mustard powder together.
  5. Pour over sandwiches.
  6. Refrigerate covered overnight.
  7. Remove from refrigerator 1/2 hour before baking.
  8. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
  9. Mix cereal and melted butter.
  10. Spread over sandwiches.
  11. Bake for 1 hour.
