Barbecued Burgers With Corn And Tomato Salsa Recipe

  1. Preheat outdoor barbecue grill according to manufacturer's directions, or possibly preheat broiler and spray rack in broiler pan with nonstick cooking spray.
  2. In small bowl, combine corn, tomato, 1/3 c. of the onions, the chopped cilantro, juice and 1/4 tsp.
  3. of the salt; chill, covered, till chilled.
  4. Spray small nonstick skillet with nonstick cooking spray; heat.
  5. Add in bell pepper, garlic, cumin, black pepper, remaining 2/3 c. onions and remaining 1/2 tsp.
  6. salt; cook over medium-high heat, stirring frequently, 3 min, till bell pepper is softened.
  7. Transfer bell pepper mix to medium bowl.
  8. Add in turkey and chili sauce; mix well.
  9. Shape into 4 equal patties.
  10. Grill patties over warm coals or possibly place onto prepared rack in broiler pan and broil 4" from heat, turning once, 8-10 min, till golden and cooked through.
  11. During last few min of cooking, place rolls onto grill, split-side down, or possibly onto broiler rack, split-side up; cook 2-3 min, till toasted; transfer to platter.
  12. Top bottom half of each roll with 1 burger; top each with one-fourth of the corn mix and 1 remaining roll half.
  13. Serve garnished with cilantro sprigs.
