Sausage and Spinach Doria (Rice Gratin)
- 1 rice-bowlful Plain cooked rice
- 1 bunch Spinach
- 1/4 Onion
- 2 Sausages
- 1 slice Easily-melting cheese
- 1 tsp Plain flour
- 10 grams Butter
- 200 ml Milk
- 1/2 tsp Consomme powder
- 1 dash Black pepper
- 1 Olive oil
- Slice the onion.
- Cut the sausage diagonally.
- Cut the spinach into 4 cm lengths.
- Heat olive oil in a pan.
- Put the onion, sausage and spinach stem and fry.
- Turn off the heat and add flour and butter.
- Stir everything in the pan well with a wooden spatula until the flour is absorbed.
- Add the milk and stir with a wooden spatula well, not leaving any lumps.
- Add the consomme powder and turn on the heat.
- After the sauce thickens, add the spinach leaves.
- Season with black pepper.
- Put the plain rice on a heatproof dish and pour over the sauce.
- Cut the cheese in half and place top on the sauce.
- Bake in a grill toaster oven for 3 to 4 minutes until the top is golden brown.
