Scouse & hot baguette Mmmmm...
- 1 lb stewing steak
- 1 red onion
- 1 leek
- 3 carrots
- 2 parsnips
- 7 large potatoes
- 7 large cabbage leaves, i prefer the greener ones.
- 4 chicken stock cubes
- 3 tbsp gravy
- 1 tbsp tomato puree
- Brown the stewing steak, add onion, carrot, parsnip and leeks, leave to fry for 5 mins.
- Add tomato puree and stir.
- Add water to just cover the meat and veg.
- Leave until it comes to the boil add potatoes fill water until it covers.
- Add 2 stock cubes.
- Simmer for 1-2 hours.
- Add cabbage after few hours, and 2 more stock cubes, add gravy to slightly thicken, serve
