Easy Cinnamon Buns

  1. Combine hot water, yeast and 1 teaspoon sugar.
  2. Mix until dissolved; set aside.
  3. Combine 3 1/2 c. hot water, margarine, 1 cup sugar and salt.
  4. Mix until melted.
  5. Cool to lukewarm and add to yeast mixture.
  6. Beat in enough flour to make a thick, but still sticky dough, not stiff enough to knead.
  7. Place in greased bowl, grease top, and let rise until double in size.
  8. Sprinkle flour on counter and roll dough into a rectangle 8 x 42-inches, 1/2-inch thick.
  9. Spread 1/3 cup melted butter over dough.
  10. Mix 2 1/2 cups brown sugar, 1 1/2 tablespoon ground cinnamon and 3/4 cup chopped nuts (optional) and sprinkle over dough.
  11. Roll up like a jelly roll and cut into 1-inch slices.
  12. Place in 6 (8 or 9-inch) cake pans. Let rise until double again.
  13. Bake at 350u0b0 for 15 to 20 minutes until lightly browned.
  14. Do not overbake.
