Grandma Hada Pizza Burgers
- 3 stick celery, finely chopped
- 1 small onion, finely chopped King Sooper's 1 lb For $0.99 thru 02/09
- 1 Tbsp. oil
- 1 to 1-1/2 lb. ground beef King Sooper's 1 lb For $3.99 thru 02/09
- salt and pepper or garlic salt
- 1 pkg. (8 oz.) VELVEETA
- 1 can (10-3/4 oz.) condensed cream of tomato soup
- 8 or 9 hamburger buns, split
- 2 cups KRAFT Shredded Mozzarella Cheese
- Cook and stir celery and onion in hot oil in large skillet until tender.
- Remove from skillet; set aside.
- Add meat to skillet; cook until browned, stirring occasionally.
- Drain.
- Add celery mixture to meat mixture in skillet; cook a little longer.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Add VELVEETA; cook until melted, stirring frequently.
- Stir in soup; simmer until thoroughly heated.
- Remove from heat; cool slightly.
- Spoon about 1/4 cup meat mixture onto each bun half; sprinkle with mozzarella cheese.
- Place on rack of broiler pan.
- Broil until golden brown.
- This doesn't take long so keep checking it.
- Makes 16 to 18.
