Chinese Cabbage Slaw

  1. Crumble dry noodles over the slaw mix.
  2. Add green onions, diced up small.
  3. Set in refrigerator while preparing remainder of ingredients.
  4. Put flavor packet from Ramen noodles in a small saucepan.
  5. Add vinegar, oil, sugar, salt and pepper.
  6. Cook until sugar dissolves; set aside to cool.
  7. In a small skillet, melt margarine.
  8. Add sliced almonds; heat on low heat until the almonds are toasted (lightly browned).
  9. Set aside to cool.
  10. Before serving, combine the slaw mixture, the vinegar mixture and the almonds.
  11. Toss lightly.
