Orange Brownies
- 12 ounces dark chocolate
- 14 cup unsalted butter
- 1 (8 ounce) package low-fat cream cheese
- 1 12 cups sugar
- 14 cup brown sugar
- 2 egg whites
- 2 eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 1 cup flour
- 12 cup whole wheat flour
- 34 teaspoon baking powder
- 12 teaspoon salt
- 4 ounces low-fat cream cheese
- 12 cup orange juice
- 13 cup sugar
- 2 egg whites
- 1 egg
- 5 ounces dark chocolate
- 34 cup fat-free half-and-half
- Base: In a double boiler melt the 12 ounces of dark chocolate with the butter.
- Set aside, don't leave on after melting occurs.
- In a separate bowl mix 1 package of cream cheese, 1 1/2 sugar, 1/4 brown sugar, 2 egg whites, 2 eggs until all incorporated.
- Add vanilla.
- Mix flours, baking powder, and salt together and sift into the wet mixture.
- Take chocolate butter and pour in slowly until smooth.
- Spray a 9x12 pan and input base brownie mix.
- Orange Layer: Mix 4 ounces of cream cheese with orange juice and sugar.
- Add the 2 egg white and one egg.
- Spread over base layer in pan.
- Chocolate Topper: Melt the 5 ounces of dark chocolate in a double boiler with the half and half.
- Once chocolate is melted and mixture is smooth lightly drizzle over orange layer.
- Bake at 350 for 35-40 minutes.
- Until done.
