Chinese Fish
- 1 lb. haddock filets
- 1 Tbsp. cornstarch
- 3 Tbsp. vegetable oil
- 1 Tbsp. soy sauce
- 1/2 chopped green pepper
- garlic salt (sprinkle)
- 1/2 tsp. Accent (optional)
- 1 or 2 green onions
- 1 (10 oz.) can or 1 qt. tomatoes
- Brown chopped green peppers and garlic salt in oil.
- Turn heat to 225u0b0.
- Add tomatoes and cook over low heat approximately 5 minutes.
- Place fish (lightly seasoned with salt and pepper) into tomato mixture.
- Cover and cook over low heat for 20 minutes. While fish is cooking, mix 1 tablespoon cornstarch with enough water to make a thin solution.
- Add 1 tablespoon soy sauce and 1/2 teaspoon Accent.
- When fish is cooked, add mixture and glaze fish with it.
- Layer chopped green onions, including the greens, over the fish and serve on a bed of rice.
