Asian Turkey Meatballs
- 1- 1/4 pound Ground Turkey (93% Lean)
- 1/4 pounds Ground Pork Country Sausage
- 1/2 cups Panko Breadcrumbs
- 1 whole Egg
- 1 whole Egg White
- 1 whole Lime, Zest And Juice
- 4 ounces, weight Water Chestnuts, Drained And Chopped
- 4 whole Scallions, Chopped
- 2 Tablespoons Reduced Sodium Soy Sauce
- 2 teaspoons Sesame Oil Or Spicy Sesame Oil
- 1/2 cups Cilantro, Chopped
- 1 whole 1 Inch Long Piece Of Peeled Ginger Root, Grated
- 4 cloves Garlic, Chopped
- 1 Tablespoon Honey
- 1/2 cups Reduced Fat Mayonnaise
- 2 Tablespoons Hoisin Sauce
- 1/2 whole Lime, Juiced
- 1 teaspoon Sriracha Sauce
- Preheat oven to 500 F. Cover 2 baking sheets with foil and spray with cooking spray.
- Combine all of the meatball ingredients in a large bowl.
- Mix well with your hands until the ingredients are evenly distributed.
- Using about 3 tablespoons of the mixture per ball, roll the mixture into meatballs.
- Place the meatballs on the greased cookie sheets and continue until you have used all of the mixture.
- Bake in the preheated oven until cooked through, approximately 15 minutes.
- The perfect pairing for these Asian Turkey Meatballs is hoisin dipping sauce.
- Combine 1/2 cup of reduced fat mayo with 2 tablespoons of hoisin sauce, the juice of half of a lime and a teaspoon of spicy sriracha sauce.
