Layered Tortilla Pie(Mexican Casserole)

  1. Brown beef, onion and garlic in 1 tablespoon butter or margarine.
  2. Drain.
  3. Add tomato sauce, olives, chili powder, salt and pepper.
  4. In a round 2-quart casserole dish, alternate layers of tortillas, meat sauce and 1 1/2 cups cheese.
  5. Sprinkle remaining 1/2 cup cheese over top.
  6. Pour water at edge of casserole into bottom.
  7. Cover and bake at 400u0b0 for 25 minutes. Uncover; let stand for 5 minutes before cutting into wedges. Serves 4.
