Don't Cook The Manicotti Recipe

  1. In a skillet, brown meat with onion and garlic pwdr.
  2. Stir in half of tomato juice (2 c.), tomato paste, oregano, sugar, and pepper.
  3. Simmer 15 min.
  4. In a large bowl, combine half of the Mozzarella cheese (2 c.), cottage cheese, spinach, egg, egg white, and Parmesan cheese.
  5. Stuff uncooked manicotti shells with cheese mix.
  6. Arrange in a nonstick-sprayed 9 x 13 inch baking pan.
  7. Spread remaining stuffing mix over the top and spoon meat sauce over shells.
  8. Pour remaining tomato juice (2 c.) over all.
  9. Cover and bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour.
  10. Remove from oven and top with remaining cheese.
  11. Cover and let stand 15 min.
  12. Makes 6 servings.
  13. NOTE: Use a small baby spoon to stuff shells.
  14. Double meat mix and freeze half for your next batch.
  15. This can be easily assembled and frzn for later use.
