Heartland Vegetable Chowder
- 1/4 cup non-hydrogenated margarine
- 1/4 cup flour
- 2 cups milk
- 1 cup water
- 1-1/2 cups Cracker Barrel Shredded Old Cheddar Cheese
- 2 cups frozen mixed vegetables (broccoli, carrots, cauliflower)
- 2 cups frozen corn
- 2 cups frozen cut green beans
- Melt margarine in large saucepan on medium heat.
- Add flour; stir with whisk until blended.
- Cook 2 min., stirring constantly.
- Gradually stir in milk, then water until blended; cook 5 min.
- or until thickened, stirring constantly.
- Add cheese; cook and stir 3 min.
- or until cheese is completely melted and sauce is well blended.
- Stir in remaining ingredients; cover.
- Simmer on medium-low heat 10 min.
- or until heated through, stirring occasionally.
