Pumpkin Bread With Grand Marnier Glaze
- 2 cups pumpkin puree
- 4 eggs
- 1 cup canola oil (or vegetable oil)
- 1 cup water
- 3 cups sugar
- 3 13 cups flour
- 2 teaspoons salt
- 2 teaspoons baking soda
- 12 teaspoon baking powder
- 1 teaspoon ground cloves
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1 teaspoon ground nutmeg
- 1 teaspoon allspice
- 2 cups powdered sugar
- 14 cup Grand Marnier
- Preheat oven to 325.
- Combine pumpkin, eggs, oil, water and sugar.
- Set aside.
- Mix together flour, salt, soda, baking powder and spices.
- Add to pumpkin mixture.
- Stir in nuts.
- Pour into THREE greased loaf pans.
- Bake for one hour and 10 minutes or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean.
- Partially cool, then transfer to cooling rack.
- Mix powdered sugar with Grand Marnier.
- Drizzle over tops of loaves.
