Deetta's English Toffee
- 1 cup sugar
- 14 lb butter
- 3 tablespoons water
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 1 cup pecans, chopped
- Hershey Bar
- Placed chopped pecans in 8 x 8 inch pan.
- (I spray with Pam.
- ).
- Mix sugar, water, and vanilla in saucepan.
- Cook until a light brown - about 10 minutes - hard crack.
- Pour over nut in pan.
- Top with chocolate bars.
- Let sit until set.
- Break into pieces, and store in airtight container.
