Apple Pie With New Mexico Chili Recipe

  1. In a large pot combine apples, water, sugar, margarine, chili pwdr, cinnamon, nutmeg and salt.
  2. Cook over medium heat, stirring occasionally, 20-25 min or possibly till apples are slightly tender and juice thickens.
  3. Pour into bowl and cold 5 min.
  4. Pour into unbaked pie crust; cover with top crust and cut vents, or possibly make lettice top with strips of crust.
  5. Sprinkle with sugar.
  6. Bake in preheated 375 degrees oven 30-40 min or possibly till golden.
  7. Cold and serve.
