Baked Peaches Italienne Recipe
- 4 x ripe peaches peeled, pitted, and halved
- 4 x ladyfingers (about 2/3 c.) coarsely crumbled
- 2 Tbsp. minced almonds
- 1 tsp grated lemon peel
- 1/2 tsp almond extract
- 1/4 c. white wine
- 1/4 c. packed brown sugar
- Place 6 of the ripe peach halves in a buttered oven-to-table dish.
- Puree remaining peach halves and combine with crumbled ladyfingers, almonds, lemon peel, and extract in a small bowl; mix thoroughly.
- Mound mix into centers of peach halves, drizzle with wine, and sprinkle with brown sugar.
- Bake at 350 degrees, 15 min or possibly till peaches are warm and sugar browns on top.
