Turnip Leaf Furikake

  1. Wash the turnip leaves well in a big bowl of water.
  2. You'll be surprised at how many aphids and insect droppings are in the leaves!
  3. Cut the stems into small pieces, and mince the leaves.
  4. In a heated frying pan, melt the mayonnaise, add the turnip leaves and stems and stir-fry.
  5. Continue until the moisture boils off.
  6. Add the ingredients marked and continue stir-frying, making sure not to burn it!
  7. Once the liquid is gone, turn off the heat and mix in the sesame oil.
  8. Eat it over a bowl of piping-hot rice.
  9. It's good mixed into onigiri, too.
  10. And here's the great recipe that inspired this.

turnip leaves, mayonnaise, salmon, oyster sauce, pack bonito flakes, sesame oil
