Heavenly Cherry Cake(Makes 15 Servings)

  1. Mix cake mix according to directions, except substitute 1 cup milk for water.
  2. Bake in a greased and floured 9 x 13 x 2-inch pan. Bring pineapple and sugar to boil and then simmer 3 minutes; cool. When cake has cooled, punch holes in the top and gradually pour pineapple mixture over top.
  3. With electric mixer, beat pudding mix and 1 1/4 c. milk; add cream cheese, beating well.
  4. Spread pudding over cake; top with bananas, 1/2 cup coconut and 1/4 cup cherries. Spread whipped topping over top.
  5. Sprinkle with remaining coconut, cherries and pecans.
  6. Chill.
