Aunt Marie'S Chocolate Chip Cookies
- 1 c. butter, softened
- 1 1/2 c. light brown sugar, packed
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 2 large eggs
- 2 1/2 c. all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp. baking soda
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1 1/2 to 2 c. semi-sweet chocolate chips
- Preheat oven to 350u0b0.
- Sift flour, soda and salt together in a medium bowl.
- Set aside.
- Cream the butter.
- Add the brown sugar, vanilla and eggs; beat together in a large bowl.
- (Using a hand mixer here is great!
- If you have a Kitchenaide, wow!
- But a wooden spoon works well, too!)
- Add dry ingredients (a bit at a time) to the creamed mixture until well blended.
- Fold in chocolate chips. Drop by teaspoonfuls on a wax paper lined cookie sheet.
- Bake at 350u0b0 for 10 to 12 minutes or so.
- Cool on rack.
