Not So Fried Chicken
- 10 pieces Chicken Legs Or Thighs
- 2 cups Milk
- 1 envelope Dry Ranch Dressing Mix,1.5 Oz Package
- 1/4 cups Butter
- 2 cups Flour
- 2 Tablespoons BBQ Dry Rub Seasoning Mix, Store Bought
- 1 Tablespoon Seasoned Salt
- 1 Tablespoon Black Pepper
- 1 Tablespoon Onion Powder
- 1 Tablespoon Garlic Powder
- 1 Tablespoon Poultry Seasoning
- 1 Tablespoon Paprika
- Preheat oven to 425 F.
- Pat chicken dry, and place in a large bowl.
- Combine milk and ranch dressing mix in a small bowl then pour it over the chicken.
- Soak chicken in the ranch dressing mixture for at least 10 minutes.
- When oven comes to temperature, place butter in a 9x13 baking dish and place it in the oven to melt.
- In large bowl, combine flour and all of the spices.
- Remove chicken from milk, allowing it to drip off slightly and place into flour mixture, in batches preferably.
- Coat the chicken thoroughly, then remove it from the flour mixture shaking off any excess.
- Place into the pan with the melted butter and repeat with the rest of the chicken.
- Place dish in the oven.
- Cook until juices run clear, flipping chicken halfway through.
- For average size chicken legs, this will take about 40 minutes.
