Turkey Sloppy Joes
- 2 Tablespoons Extra Virgin Olive Oil
- 1 pound Ground Turkey
- 1/2 bulbs Red Onion
- 1/2 whole Red Bell Pepper
- 1/2 whole Green Bell Pepper
- 1 Tablespoon Grill Seasoning Blend (recommend Mrs Dash Poultry Season)
- 2 Tablespoons Brown Sugar
- 1 Tablespoon Worcestershire Sauce
- 8 ounces, weight Can Of Tomato Sauce
- 4 whole Crusty Sandwich Rolls
- Place a big skillet over medium high heat.
- Add extra virgin olive oil and add the ground turkey and break up with wooden spoon as it starts to cook.
- While that cooks, chop red onion.
- Chop the red bell pepper and green bell pepper, being sure to remove the white membrane and seeds on the inside.
- Add the veggies to the cooking meat and stir it all together.
- Next, mix in a small bowl the grill seasoning blend, brown sugar, Worcestershire sauce and the tomato sauce.
- This will make your special sauce.
- When all ingredients are combined, pour over the cooking meat and veggies and stir it all together.
- Turn the heat down to a simmer and cook the sloppy mixture for 10 minutes.
- Once tasted for seasoning, turn off the simmer and place on crusty sandwich rolls and enjoy.
